I think it's safe to say that Summer has come to its end. And as much as i kind of love the fact that Autumn is right at the end of the corner because it is literally my favorite season, I hate to say goodbye to the Summer fun.
So in this post I'm going to talk about those albums and tracks that made my Summer fun and musically great. Here ya go!
1. Forever Halloween - The Maine
Not only The Maine happens to be my favorite band ever, but they managed to be my favorite album from this summer. Besides of my "proud mama" feelings, I honestly think this record shows how much they've grown as humans and as a band. The album over all is absolutely amazing, and if I had to choose a favorite song I'd be in trouble because I love them all, but without a doubt, Kennedy Curse is the one I keep playing over and over again.
Check out what Kennedy and Jared had to said about this track:
2. 24/seven - Big Time Rush
What happens when you put four talented (and very good looking) guys in a band and put them on a room together to write songs? You get a catchy album just like 24/seven. If you've never heard them live I highly suggest you to do it because you'd be surprised of what these four guys can do on stage to prove how good their vocals and music talents are. After seeing them live at the Summer Break Tour around a week ago, I came to the conclusion that my favorite track from this Summer album is definitely Confetti Falling. The lyrics are quite good and the rythm and beats from this track are absolutely amazing and made my summer a little bit funnier!
Check out this video they put together for one of their episodes this season!
3. In a Tidal Wave of Mystery - Capital Cities
Definitely an alternative album, but with a whole amazing sound and beats. Capital Cities put up a great combination of sounds and tracks on this album, while listening to the album track by track you'll (or at least I did) find yourself hooked up on what's coming next. Capital Cities is definitely a band I'll keep my eyes (and ears) on. Favorite track from this album, and the one that caught me up to check out the full material, was Safe and Sound.
Give it a listen and check out their music video for it!
4. Biography of a Heartbreak - This Century
This Century never fails to amaze me. This whole album is definitely different from Sound of Fire, but don't let that get you wrong, because the album is absolutely great. The lyrics from the tracks are great and I personally can relate to some of them. The pop vibe this album has between each track is something that will catch you until you reach the very end and of course you'll want to listen to it once (or twice) again. Tip Toe is my favorite song, so I'll leave you guys to check out an acoustic version of this track.
5. Wild & Free - A Rocket to the Moon
*sighs* It's so sad that A Rocket to the Moon had its final tour as a band this summer at the 8123 tour, but I'm sure this guys won't stop making us happy even if it means they'll break apart and follow its on ways. Wild & Free is an album I would listen to while i'm outdoors, just trying to chill and relax or something. I can't put in word my feelings towards this album beacause of all of the band breaking up and stuff, but Wild & Free is absolutely something I'd suggest a friend to give it a listen to. Personally, my favorite track is Another Set of Wings. But I'll leave the link to check out the video they put up of Whole Lotta You....
So that's it! I won't say you all are going to agree with me, because I made this based on what my favorite tracks and album were this summer. What do you guys think? I'd love a feedback in which you either say what you think about this records and songs.
What were some of your favorite albums and/or tracks this summer? :)
